Marjolijn Dijkman's works relate to the physical organisation of space aswell as to the way we subjectively perceive or are instructed to understand the world around us. I investigate the way we perceive and experience our surroundings and interpret these. The works and initiatives question effects of existing systems of organisation and/or propose alternative ways of organising. By making temporary structural alterations, by reorganising objects, spatial characteristics or reinterpreting existing sources of information I query the meaning and stratification of these systems.
